Chlor-Air System

FUNCTIONS:

Dry chlorine pellets are periodically manually fed down the well. The chlorine will kill bacteria such as coliform and E.coli. The chlorine will also oxidize the iron, manganese and will eliminate the hydrogen sulphide gas. The air injection system which is located prior to entering the existing pressure tank will oxidize any iron and manganese that may be left. The multi media filter will then filter the oxidized iron, oxidized manganese, odor and chlorine residual.

• Bad Taste - Algae - Coliform Bacteria
• E-coli Bacteria - Slime - Manganese (Black Slime)

PLEASE NOTE:

• For optimum results, dry chlorine pellets should be measured and fed down the well on a daily basis. This procedure will ensure quality water and also will extend the lifespan of the multi media filter. Sporadic chlorine residuals will reduce the lifespan of the multi media filter and may also lower water quality.
