Ozone System

Functions

Ozone is produced by a corona discharge ozone generator. Ozone is fed into a venturi or can be pumped in by using an ozone pump. The water is then fed into a properly sized retention tank. Ozone can kill bacteria and oxidize iron and manganese up to 3000 times faster than chlorine. The ozone also will remove any hydrogen sulphide gas that may be present. The ozone gases have to be vented off properly to the outside if possible to prevent any corrosion that may occur. The water is then fed into a multi media filter which will remove all of the oxidized iron and manganese.

• E-coli Bacteria - Slime - Manganese (Black Slime)

Please Note:> In damp conditions, an air dryer must be installed to prevent malfunctions of the equipment.
